A Word from Nathan: Get to Know Us

I am Nathan Corder, founder and lead woodworker, sawyer and carpenter for Crosscut. Throughout my life, I have always been inspired by the strength and majesty of wood. Working with this timeless material is my passion. As such, I strive to learn everything about woodworking—from harvesting and processing to assembly and installation.

As a Christian, I firmly believe that God has granted me the opportunity to use my skills and talents to transform wood into works of art. More than that, I craft beautiful things that can stand the test of time. It is my wish to share my gifts with my clients throughout Minnesota.

My wife, Nikki, is the mother of our two boys. Together, we form the foundation of Crosscut. She assists with the design of our various woodworking projects. She is always coming up with new ideas, and together, we offer a variety of products and services that cannot be replicated anywhere else.

Our desire is to serve with our whole hearts and to be a blessing to every customer. Please allow us to transform your space into a place you have always wanted.

About Our Processes

As a full-service sawmill and woodworking shop, we have everything to craft a variety of products, from works of art to the frameworks of houses. We utilize mills from Wood Mizer, who are well-known for efficient and high-performance processing equipment. From here, we turn dreams into reality.

A great appreciation for  Reclaimed Wood

We are inspired by 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

God, the Master Craftsman, uses his love and care to give old things a new life. Similarly, in our woodworking shop we enjoy seeing reclaimed wood live on in unique new forms. Where others might see something old, twisted, and beyond repair, we see the potential for something to be reborn.

Nikki and I see great beauty and purpose in different kinds of wood that might appear worthless to others. We appreciate the history and story of where the wood comes from and the people that are connected to it. Knowing these things, we perform our work with the utmost care and respect.

You have ideas for the perfect woodworking project. Allow us to bring them into reality. Request a consultation with our woodworking company to learn more about our services.
